The subjects covered in the study materials and on the exam were identified by leading staffing professionals as some of the most important elements of labor and employment law pertinent to maintaining high standards within the staffing industry. The exam does not test on the law of any specific state; however, it covers, in general, how states’ laws may differ from federal labor or employment laws.
In addition to being familiar with the ASA Code of Ethics and Good Practices, TSC candidates should study the material contained in Employment Law for Technical and Contract Staffing Professionals, by Marc D. Freedman, Esq., on compact disc.
Additionally, candidates are encouraged to read ASA’s Staffing Law, a digest of recent industry legal, legislative, and regulatory developments, which is mailed to member headquarters three times each year.
