Technical Services CertifiedTM
Eligibility Requirements
Staffing professionals may earn both the Certified Staffing Professional™ and Technical Services Certified™ designations. To be eligible to receive the CSP™ or TSC™ designation, a candidate must
- Be an employee of a staffing firm that is an active (i.e., voting) member of or is eligible for active membership in the American Staffing Association, or be an individual who provides staffing industry education or training services
- Agree to uphold the ASA Code of Ethics and Good Practices
Before registering for the exam, candidates must submit an electronic signature agreeing to the program rules and stating that they meet required qualifications.
The last opportunity to earn the California Staffing Professionals California Accredited Consultant (CAC) designation was Oct. 14, 2006. Starting in spring 2007, ASA will offer Certified Staffing Professional™ and Technical Services Certified™ certifications that will cover federal as well as California employment and labor law. California staffing professionals who currently hold the CAC designation will have an opportunity to apply to be grandfathered into the Certified Staffing Professional program and be entitled to use both designations.
The opportunity to apply to be grandfathered into the CSP program will end on Jan. 31, 2007. No application fee is required.

Human resources professionals employed by for-profit entities, employees of staffing firm clients, and providers of products or services to the staffing industry may earn certificates of completion upon successfully passing an ASA certification exam, but may not use the CSP or TSC designation.
The CSP and TSC designations have continuing education requirements that individuals must meet to maintain their designations.
