Workshops

Markets change quickly. Companies need individuals who have the ability to anticipate change, innovate, and execute growth strategies.

Our global economy is in constant motion. Market leaders invest in their people to ensure that they have the capacity to capitalize on new opportunities as economic conditions change.

At Staffing World 2009, top business consultants and industry experts present case studies, share insights, and explore the industry's future with staffing and recruiting professionals across all sectors in more than 40 workshops, networking sessions, and keynotes. The workshops are organized across these eight learning tracks and also include four immersion workshops:

Immersion Workshops

Start your day off right—connect with staffing professionals in one of four immersion workshops designed to help you stay on top of your game. Each two-hour intensive course is offered Thursday, 8:30–10:30 a.m. and focuses intently on enhancing your proficiency in one of four critical areas: recruiting, employment law, client management, or presentation skills. Come prepared to engage, share, and grow with your colleagues.

Section Sessions

Want to learn the best practices in the sectors you serve? Thinking about branching into a new niche? Attend the section sessions Wednesday, 4:15–5:30 p.m. to discuss topics in your area of staffing and meet colleagues with shared interests.

Knowledge Network

Sponsored by VCG LLC.

What better way to pick up tips and insights on what works and what doesn't than from other staffing professionals who share your interests and challenges? Knowledge Network is a session where attendees gather in small groups to discuss specific topics of interest to them. It's an excellent opportunity to meet new people and form connections while getting fresh ideas on how to approach or implement a business strategy. There will be two opportunities for you to choose a subject for discussion. Each discussion round lasts 40 minutes and falls into one of these three categories:

  • Sales and business development
  • Recruiting, operations, and staff development
  • Strategic issues for executives

A list of specific topics will be available on site.

Staffing World Café

Think of the last time you went to a coffee shop or a café and had that really great conversation with a group of friends. Remember the great ideas that were shared, the problems that were solved and the bonds that were built? At the Staffing World Café on Friday, 9–10:15 a.m., you’ll get to have one of these conversations, and this one is about making you and your company more money. Don’t miss this new networking opportunity.

"Everyone was very friendly and open to sharing their successes and frustrations. I came back to work full of ideas to share and implement at my company."—Rhiannon Nichols, CSP, the Sedona Group, Moline, IL
