Vision for the Future: Beat the Odds
Traditional management practices don’t work anymore. To win in today’s work environment, you need a new style, a new approach, and a new strategy. Strategic business futurist Roger Herman builds high-performance organizations with techniques that apply directly to today’s staffing companies. Learn about current and coming trends that will affect the economy and shape the way you do business.
One of those trends: too many jobs, too few skilled people. Those that take appropriate strategic actions now will gain a significant competitive advantage. Those that are not strategically prepared will simply not have enough people to meet customer demand. Herman’s message to business leaders is clear—the time for change is now.
Drawing on key points from his books The Process of Excelling, How to Become an Employer of Choice, and How to Choose Your Next Employer, Herman will help you overcome the talent shortage, confront turnover, increase employee loyalty, and build an outstanding team that gets results and creates opportunities.
Discover practical, proven techniques you can use right away to become an employer of choice and attract and retain top talent. Herman’s concentration on work force and workplace trends comes into play as he offers insights on the most effective way to manage your most valuable resource—talent.
Customer Loyalty: Stack the Deck in Your Favor
Stop customer service training. Start customer empathy training. That’s the message from Ross Shafer, six-time Emmy award winner, researcher, humorist, and author of the bestselling Nobody Moved Your Cheese! Shafer will share his insightful perspectives on what makes customers tick and why customer satisfaction remains the cornerstone of a successful business.
According to Shafer, businesspeople who have their ear to their customer’s heart can easily outrun their competition. In his latest book, The Customer Shouts Back! (10 Big Changes You Need to Make If You Want Their Lifetime Loyalty), Shafer declares, “Managers have been treating the symptoms rather than curing the core problems of horrific customer service…customers want us to stop performing ‘mandatory service’ and actually understand how they are feeling before, during, and after the transaction.”
Explore the 10 big changes you need to make to meet the needs of your customers and to understand why they are shouting at you. You’ll learn and laugh as Shafer shares findings from his 11 years of research on customer response, and of writing and producing human resource training videos.
