Grand Canyon Helicopter Tour

Western Trail Ride

Nov. 7, 12:30–4:30 p.m., $180 ASA members, $205 nonmembers
Travel back in history to the Old West, riding horseback on the trails used by outlaws, settlers, and native Americans. During the two-hour ride, you might see mustangs, burros, and other desert wildlife in their natural surroundings. You’ll also enjoy the beauty of the desert in the comfort of a minicoach as you take in the 13-mile scenic loop of the amazing Red Rock Canyon. Comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes are highly recommended.

Spectacular Hoover Dam

Nov. 7, 1–5p.m., $65 ASA members, $90 nonmembers
Considered one of the must-see tours while in Las Vegas, the Hoover Dam is ranked among the seven modern civil engineering wonders of the U.S. The dam, listed on the registry of National Historic Landmarks, was named for Herbert Hoover, our nation’s 31st president. Hoover Dam remains the tallest all-concrete dam in the U.S. Take this opportunity to visit one of America’s proudest achievements, the dam that tamed the Colorado River. Comfortable walking shoes and a camera are recommended.

Red Rock Canyon Hummer Expedition

Experience the ultimate desert sightseeing excursion as you go off-roading in a Hummer. Bring your camera and capture the beautiful landscape and wildlife—from burros to bighorn sheep—on this 13-mile scenic loop through Red Rock Canyon, less than 30 minutes from the Las Vegas strip. Your guide on this private tour will introduce you to the fascinating plants and animals that inhabit the Las Vegas desert.
