Keep Your Professional Edge
At Staffing World, you can earn more than half the continuing education hours you need to maintain your ASA Certified Staffing Professional™ or Technical Services Certified™ designation. The workshops, keynotes, and Knowledge Network are worth up to 15.5 hours collectively, with five of those hours being in employment law. Remember, you need 30 hours every three years to maintain your designation, and six of those hours must be in employment law.
By attending the certification review session Nov. 6, you can add 2.5 hours in employment law. This means you could earn up to 18 continuing education hours and satisfy your legal CE requirement.
Claiming credit is easy. When you check in at the convention registration desk, you’ll receive a card for each CE opportunity available with your registration package. Each card includes a bar code unique to you. Simply drop one card in the CE box near the exit as you leave an education session. ASA also provides CE tracking forms so you can easily monitor hours earned.

Review Session and Exam Nov. 6–7
Not yet certified? Don’t want to miss all the CE hours available at Staffing World? Take the exam and earn your designation before the convention begins.
Stephen Dwyer, ASA deputy general counsel, and Marc Freedman, author of Employment Law for Technical and Contract Staffing Professionals, will lead a certification review session, first outlining everything you need to know for the exam, then taking your questions.
You’ll need to order your materials and study ahead of time, but this is the best way to get your questions answered and take the exam while the information is fresh in your mind.
Participation is easy—just follow three simple steps:
- Register (Online Registration is now closed) for the review session and exam, and purchase materials before the convention. Study in advance.
- Participate in the 2.5-hour review session with employment and labor law experts.
- Take the exam the next morning while the information is fresh in your mind.
The review session is included with the purchase of a full convention and expo package.
Fees for the exam review session alone or in combination with any other convention registration package are $79 for ASA members and $150 for nonmembers.
