Certification Simplification

You've hit the books and passed the test, and now is your chance to show what you know. With your CSP™ or TSC™ designation proudly displayed on your name badge, you'll earn continuing education (CE) hours at every convention education session.

Keep Your Professional Edge

At Staffing World, you can earn over half the CE hours necessary to maintain your Certified Staffing Professional™ and Technical Services Certified™ designations. The workshops, keynotes, CEO panel discussion, and Ask an Expert are worth 14.5 hours collectively, and you can add another 2.5 by attending the certification exam preparation session Oct. 19. Remember, you need 30 hours every three years to renew your designations. Six of those hours must be in employment law—5.5 are available at Staffing World if you also attend the certification exam preparation session.

Claiming credit is easy. When you check in at the convention registration desk, you'll receive a series of cards—one for every CE opportunity available during your stay. Each card includes a bar code unique to you. Simply drop one card in the CE box near the door as you leave a keynote, workshop, Ask an Expert, or the exam preparation session. Also, ASA will provide CE tracking forms so you can easily monitor hours earned.

Get Certified On Site, On the Spot

Don't want to miss all those CE hours available at Staffing World 2005? Then take the exam and earn your designation the afternoon of Oct. 19 before the convention opens. Stephen Dwyer, ASA deputy general counsel, and Marc Freedman, author of Employment Law for Technical and Contract Staffing Professionals, will lead an exam preparation session, first outlining everything you need to know for the exam, then taking your questions. You'll need to order your materials and study ahead of time, but this is the best way to get your questions answered and take the exam while the information is fresh in your mind.

Participation is easy—just follow these three steps:

  1. Register for the session and order your materials
  2. Attend the exam preparation session 1–3:30 p.m.
  3. Take the timed exam 4–6 p.m.

Attendance is free with the purchase of a full convention and expo package. However, you must still register separately for the review session. Otherwise, it's only $79 for ASA members and $150 for nonmembers.

If you're already certified, attend anyway and earn 2.5 valuable employment law CE hours toward renewing your CSP and TSC designations.
