Call for Ask an Expert Discussion Moderators

Overview

Ask an Expert is one of the most popular events at Staffing World, the American Staffing Association annual convention and expo. In past years, we have had close to 100 roundtable discussions covering vital staffing industry issues. Attendees go to a table, each with a specific topic, and exchange ideas for 30 minutes, attending up to four roundtables in the two-hour period. Each person participates as part student, part teacher in these interactive conversations.

Share your expertise—volunteer to be a table moderator. Table moderators introduce the topic, offer appropriate opening comments, encourage group participation, guide and monitor the length of discussions, and keep participants focused on the topic.

Ask an Expert takes place Saturday, Oct. 22, from 8 to 10 a.m. You must be a registered Staffing World 2005 attendee to serve as a table moderator.

Additional Information

Moderators must give permission to have their sessions recorded on audiocassette.

Ask an Expert submissions will be reviewed in August, and notification of acceptance status will be provided in early September. ASA members will be given priority consideration.

Please note: Industry suppliers are prohibited from promoting their products or services during the roundtable sessions.

Submission Instructions

If you would like to be a table moderator, complete and submit the form below online or via fax. You must submit a proposed topic, table title for marketing purposes, and a brief description of the ideas and learning points you anticipate will be covered in your roundtable discussion for your submission to be considered. Use the examples of topics and titles listed below as a guide. Submissions must be received by July 29.
