Kristine Kash is a dedicated nurse who loves new challenges, new people and new places. More than anything, though, she loves making a difference. So travel nursing is the perfect career for her. Over the past two years, Kristine has taken six contract positions through her staffing firm, in Indianapolis, Baltimore, and elsewhere. More than just filling vacancies, Kristine plays a vital role on health care teams wherever she goes.

"Just recently, I helped care for six patients who had received kidney transplants," she says. "They all went into surgery together with six cross-matched donors. It was a very rare procedure and it made international news. The fact that I could play a role in their treatment was amazing. That's just one example of what makes my job so great."

Flexible scheduling lets Kristine make the most of life outside the hospital too. "I absolutely love my career," she says with a big smile. "It's like a paid vacation. I've met a lot of great people and I've experienced so much."
