If there's a cure, Karen dreams of finding it someday. The pre-med student and aspiring medical researcher carries a heavy course load of classes, research papers, and lab work.

Like many students, she displays the symptoms of having to squeeze a way to finance her dream into a chaotic schedule. Temporary jobs are the prescribed remedy. Karen gets a flexible work schedule (like nights, weekends, and school holidays) as well as good-paying jobs.

"Temporary jobs help me earn the money I need for my books and school," she says. That's a diagnosis anyone can live with.
